Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Program Manager to lead our economic, social, and cultural development efforts in the Torres Strait region.

* The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of programs that promote economic growth, social justice, and cultural preservation in the region.
* This role also involves managing a team of professionals to ensure effective delivery of programs and services, as well as building partnerships with key stakeholders to leverage resources and support for the community.
* A key aspect of this role is to foster strong relationships with clients and communities, facilitating open communication and collaboration to identify and resolve program-related issues.
Responsibilities
1. Develop and implement comprehensive program strategies to address the economic, social, and cultural needs of the Torres Strait community.
1. Lead the development and management of budgets, resources, and programs to achieve desired outcomes.
1. Build and maintain strong partnerships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, community organizations, and private sector partners.
1. Mentor and support staff to develop their skills and abilities, ensuring they have the necessary tools and resources to succeed in their roles.
1. Represent the organization at executive level forums and multi-agency/cross-government meetings to report on progress, identify opportunities, and promote the organization's capabilities.
Requirements
* Possess a relevant degree or postgraduate qualification in a field such as business administration, public policy, or a related field.
* Demonstrate significant experience in program management, preferably in a senior leadership role.
* Show evidence of exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
* Demonstrate excellent communication, interpersonal, and project management skills.
