OverviewThe Clinic Training Specialist is responsible for delivering remote and on-site training for clinical systems including NextGen, NexTech, EMA, and Phreesia. This role supports onboarding for new clinic patient service representatives, clinical assistants, clinicians, and other designated staff. The specialist ensures consistent, high-quality training that equips clinic staff for success across a national footprint. This position also serves as a liaison across departments to facilitate smooth integrations and workflow adoption.ResponsibilitiesProvides effective remote and on-site Nextgen, NexTech, EMA, Phreesia and MIPS training for new patient service representatives, clinical assistants, aestheticians, nurse injectors, triage staff, clinic leaders, clinicians and other staff as assigned.Assists with on-site change management for Mergers and Acquisitions through systems conversions.Troubleshoots and documents concerns and provides detailed summary to project leader.Serves as an on-site and remote resource to help troubleshoot and communicate intradepartmental needs including but not limited to: IT, Billing, Credentialing, Integrations, Pathology, Partner Vendors.Actively participates in development and continuous improvement of the training program, including recommending revisions and improvements to existing training materials, methods, and training guides.Prepares for training sessions including but not limited to setting up Teams meetings, updating agendas, and creating EMR test patients & scenarios.Provides written feedback to clinic managers on trainee performance immediately following training with recommendations on continued educational needs.Provides surveys to trainees to submit to their regional clinic manager and encourages meaningful feedback.Effectively communicates with vendors which often includes case creation, tracking and resolution follow through.Maintains working knowledge and stays current on all Clinical Assistant and Patient Service Representative duties.Performs the duties of a Clinical Assistant and/or Patient Service Representative when assigned.Accurately tracks and reports expenses and mileage on a routine and timely basis.Adherence to completion of all companywide compliance training.Performs other related duties as assigned.QualificationsEducation and Experience:Medical Assistant, LPN or RN is required. Must keep current on all state certifications, licenses and/or registrations to continue employment.Minimum 2 years of work experience in dermatology / Mohs surgery required.Experience with electronic medical records, ideally with Modernizing Medicine (EMA), NextGen, and/or NexTech.Experience with training or clinic leadership preferred.CPR Certification is required per licensing requirements as applicable.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Must be willing and able to travel nationwide 75% of work time which includes travel by air, train or automobile.Must have a reliable means of transportation for local work assignments.Must be able to rent a car for travel assignments.Weekend and holiday travel required.Must possess a valid Driver's License and a driving record that allows for insurability by Forefront Dermatology.Must have ability to work remotely in a quiet space utilizing company provided equipment for a home office setup.Must have high speed internet and cell service.Must possess excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills to provide a quality training experience.Ability to train using a variety of systems and methods. Must be adaptable to a variety of learning styles and capacities, with the ability to demonstrate a consistently calm, positive, and encouraging demeanor.Ability to provide effective, constructive, and positive feedback to trainees, and respond positively to constructive feedback from others.Ability to multi-task, prioritize appropriately, and work well both individually and as part of a team.Must display a friendly cheerful, tactful and polite demeanor, and compassionate caring in dealing with others.Must demonstrate leadership by serving as an example to others regarding professional appearance and behavior.Ability to use time productively and contribute to high levels of company operational efficiency and effectiveness.Must have proficient computer and typing skills. Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.Ability to maintain confidentiality of information.For this position, the base pay range is $59,000/yr.
