Doorways provides practical, compassionate support to individuals and families experiencing financial hardship, crisis or ongoing disadvantage. As a Case Worker in Port Augusta, you help community members build stability, strengthen capacity and work toward their goals. Your support creates pathways to increased independence, connection and self‐determination.

About The Role

The Case Worker supports community members through high‐quality case management, assessment, advocacy and referral pathways. You will work collaboratively with Corps Officers, volunteers and co‐located Mission Leaders to deliver an integrated Doorways service that responds to local needs. The role involves building strong relationships, identifying strengths and challenges, and supporting people to access resources, develop skills and work toward meaningful, achievable goals. This permanent part‐time position is 30 hours per week (0.7 FTE), with flexible hours negotiable. The role is paid in accordance with SCHADS Level 4 and is based at Port Augusta.

How You Will Make An Impact
* Build positive, respectful relationships with community members, colleagues and local partners
* Complete assessments to understand needs, strengths and goals
* Develop person‐centred case plans using a strengths‐based approach
* Provide early intervention, practical support and advocacy for people experiencing hardship
* Support community members to build capacity and develop independent living skills
* Complete referrals for financial supports such as NILS and Energy Assistance
* Maintain accurate records and data in SAMIS in line with TSA standards
* Contribute to a collaborative team culture and continuous improvement
What You Will Bring
* Degree in Social Work, Psychology or Community/Human Services (highly desirable), or a Diploma with at least two years' experience in the community services sector
* Experience supporting people experiencing hardship, disadvantage or complex needs
* Strong relationship‐building and communication skills
* Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, volunteers and community partners
* Understanding of trauma, disadvantage and strengths‐based practice
* Ability to maintain accurate records and manage competing priorities
* Current Driver's Licence
