Responsibilities
* Manage and oversee design activities during early contract involvement on projects and progressing into a site based role.
* Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and contractors for timely, cost-effective project delivery.
* Assist with D&C design development including reviews with Subcontractors
* Develop and maintain project design schedules and budgets, providing regular updates on progress and potential issues to senior management.
* Review project specifications and contracts, identifying design requirements and constraints, and resolving design-related issues.
* Ensure accurate and up-to-date project design records and documents, and manage the design process, including development, review, and approval.
Qualifications
* Bachelor\'s degree in architecture, construction management or engineering
* Current experience working for a head contractor
* 6+ years of experience in design management in the construction industry
* Experience working on larges cale construction project from $100m upwards ideally within Apartments, Education and Health projects
* Must have previous experience working for a Builder / Head Contractor
* Strong leadership and communication skills
* Knowledge of construction project management tools and software
* Understanding of construction contracts and regulatory requirements
* Familiarity with building codes and standards
