Pathology Collector Job
The role of a Pathology Collector is an exciting opportunity to make a difference in the lives of Australians by providing quality patient care and delivering great customer service.
This position involves collecting blood samples, coordinating specimen collection, and ensuring that all documentation is completed accurately and within strict turnaround times.
As a Pathology Collector, you will work closely with patients, clinic staff, and couriers to deliver exceptional results. You will be responsible for maintaining meticulous records, preparing and packaging specimens for transport and testing, and providing high-quality patient care.
To succeed in this role, you will need to possess excellent customer service and communication skills, as well as strong time management and attention to detail. You will also need to be organized, able to work autonomously, and have flexibility to travel to multiple clinics. Additionally, you must hold a valid driver's license and have a Working With Children's Check or be willing to obtain one.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Demonstrated experience and knowledge in Phlebotomy/Certificate III in Pathology Collection or a healthcare background
* Excellent customer service and communication skills, with a high level of empathy
* Organized, with strong time management and attention to detail
* Able to work autonomously, sometimes working independently in a solo clinic
* Valid Driver's license and flexibility to travel to multiple clinics
* Working With Children's Check or willingness to obtain one
