About The Role
Provide registrar-focused education and support across a defined region, delivering peer learning, practice visits and assessments. Build strong relationships with registrars, supervisors and practices. Reports to the Senior Medical Educator and works closely with Training Coordinators, PSOs and local stakeholders. Salary will be commensurate with experience and capability development toward fulfilling the full scope of responsibilities for a generalist medical educator role.
Job Details
* Base salary from $174,572 to $205,956.76 per annum (pro rata, commensurate with experience), plus superannuation and salary packaging up to $15,900 tax‐free for living expenses under the RACGP's health promotion charity status.
* Job nature: Part time (0.2 – 0.4 FTE), permanent role.
* Location: Shepparton/Wangaratta and surrounding areas with work‐from‐home opportunities.
What you'll do
* Provide clinical teaching, mentoring and pastoral support to registrars across the training lifecycle, including targeted interventions and remediation where required.
* Support and develop supervisors through advice, professional development activities and accreditation‐related requirements.
* Contribute to workforce planning and promotion of general practice, including pipeline engagement and AGPT selection activities.
* Collaborate with local teams and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander partners to support culturally safe training, quality outcomes and continuous improvement.
Skills & Experience
* RACGP fellowship or equivalent with current specialist GP registration.
* Strong interest in medical education and registrar development.
* Experience teaching or facilitating doctors in training.
* Collaborative approach with supervisors and local stakeholders.
