Project Overview
Bechtel has been engaged to provide EPCM services to replace existing Balanced Machines at iron ore export facilities in the Pilbara region in Western Australia.
The Project includes the design, procurement, installation, and commissioning of the new balanced machines as well as design and construction of associated off-board scope, including earthworks, structural works, and electrical and control system upgrades to support the installation and operation.
Job Summary
In this role, you will lead a team and manage project cost estimating, analysis, and control activities. You will identify cost trends for management attention, support project organizational and administrative activities, and ensure work is completed as scheduled. Your data analysis will provide innovative solutions to cost engineering challenges, and your leadership will be essential to project success.
Major Responsibilities
* Manages the cost estimating, analysis, and control activities for a significant area within a project which requires a high degree of technical skilled experience
* Identifies cost trends for management attention
* Analyzes data to provide innovative solutions to cost engineering challengesEnsures work is completed as scheduled
* Supports project organizational and administrative activities
Education And Experience Requirements
* Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 10‐13 years of relevant experience or 14‐17 years of relevant work experience.
Required Knowledge And Skills
* Experience in directing project cost engineering, including cost control and analysis, cost reporting, incurred cost assessment and conducting meetings.
* Experience in establishing criteria for Project Controls cost activities and in cost and commitment and incurred cost analysis and management.
* Skilled in oral and written communication, with demonstrated ability to present Project Controls information to management/client.
* Advanced level of knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and start‐up work processes, as performed by Bechtel.
* Knowledge of engineering and construction management customarily acquired over time through specialized instruction or practical experience.
