$70.30 per hour including salary packaging & super | Manager - Nuclear Medicine

Permanent Full Time | 80 hours per fortnight including a monthly ADO

About The Role

Grampians Health welcome applications for a Nuclear Medicine Chief to lead our dynamic Nuclear Medicine department. Applications are open for a Chief Nuclear Medicine Technologist at Grampians Health Ballarat. This is an exciting opportunity for a team-orientated leader to be part of the journey as we embark on the establishment of a new PET department.

The Chief Nuclear Medine Technologist is a senior leadership role and is responsible for the operational management of staff, budgets/targets, quality service delivery and business development associated with the department of Nuclear Medine. Grampians Health Ballarat Radiology is a 'state of the art' department that performs Approx. 10,000 exams per month across a wide range of diagnostic and interventional radiological procedures, including MRI, CT, Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasound, Mammography, Fluoroscopy and General X-ray.

The successful applicant will join a dynamic team of highly skilled healthcare professionals to provide exceptional service for the community.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage Nuclear Medicine and PET examination production, ensuring accurate test SPECT/CT, PET/CT, laboratory equipment and RIS/PACS systems independently.Manage staffing and workflow to deliver safe, timely care within budget.Monitor and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).Uphold organisational values and maintain high professional standards.Coordinate departmental accreditation activities.

Key Selection Criteria

Essential

Tertiary qualification recognised by the Australian and New Zealand Society of Nuclear Medicine.As required under the Radiation Act 2005 the Nuclear Medicine Technologist must hold current registration with AHPRA and a Victorian Government, Department of Health, Radiation 'Use Licence' Knowledge of Nuclear Medicine / RadiologyDepartment Workflow Knowledge of PACS, RIS, DICOM, HL7 formats and relevant legislative requirements (as they relate to the distribution of medical images in a PACS environment)Excellent interpersonal/communication skills and ability to work as a team member in the formulation and implementation of departmental policies and practises as requested.

Desirable

Demonstrate a broad range of knowledge, experience and competency in routine NM and PET examinations. Demonstrated ability and willingness to keep abreast of emerging technologies
