The Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for a commercial finance leader to join a high-growth, PE backed healthcare services organisation as the General Manager of Finance. Backed by a top-tier private equity firm, the organisation is entering its next phase of scale and operational improvement.
Reporting directly to the CFO, this newly created role will lead a team across financial control, finance operations and commercial finance. Key to the role will be driving strategic decision making to ensure financial plans align with strategic goals across a complex multi‐site environment.
The Challenge
The role will be pivotal in shaping financial strategy and acting as a commercial leader in this high‐growth multisite business. The GM of FP&A position will require strong commercial partnering and the ability to translate performance across a large network of sites into actionable insights.
As GM of FP&A, your broad remit will include:
* Leading and developing a high‐performing team
* Driving the budgeting, forecasting and long‐term planning processes across a large multi‐site network
* Establish and maintain appropriate internal financial controls and risk management safeguards
* Monitoring day‐to‐day cashflow and treasury operations including banking relationships
* Oversee and drive processes for streamlining financial reporting
* Lead the production of timely and accurate monthly financial statements and management reports
* Partnering with operational and executive leaders to translate financial performance into actionable insights
* Supporting strategic initiatives including growth investments, acquisitions and operational improvement
* Enhancing reporting, analytics and performance frameworks to improve decision‐making across the organisation
* Building scalable finance processes to support the continued growth of the business
The Expertise
This opportunity is appropriate for a current finance leader with previous experience working in a leading PE portfolio company, ideally within a healthcare/multisite environment. Furthermore, it is likely that you will possess:
* CA, ideally Big 4 or Mid tier‐chartered accounting experience prior to your successful transition into industry
* A track record of partnering with senior executives to influence strategic decision making
* Experience leading and developing high performing teams through financial transformation
* Strong analytical capability and the ability to translate financial data into meaningful commercial insights
* Exposure to private equity, healthcare, multi‐site or high‐growth environments will be highly regarded
