Our Music program has a strong reputation, allowing our students to develop a love of music and an appreciation for the power it has to bring enjoyment to themselves and others through performance. We are pleased to invite applications from experienced and suitably qualified Tutors for the following vacancies to join the College's Music Programs in 2026:
Co-Curricular Music Tutors (Fixed Term):
* Woodwind Tutor (Saxophone & Clarinet) - 1 day per week (0.2 FTE on Tuesdays)
* Brass Tutor - Half Day per week (0.1 FTE on Wednesdays)
Both fixed term positions are for the 2026 school year where you will be working within our Year 7 music program. As a Tutor, you will be teaching small groups of students on a weekly basis and preparing them for performances throughout the year to celebrate their learning and growth.
Instrumental Music Tutors (Sessional):
* Strings
* Woodwind
* Brass
Our Sessional Tutors will facilitate private (30 minute) lessons with students on a weekly basis, with the possibility of also taking ensembles. With flexibility on offer to work around your other commitments, these opportunities allow you to make a true impact in student's music journey and involvement through Co-Curricular performances and showcases throughout the year.
To succeed in these opportunities, you will demonstrate:
* Previous experience working in a music tutor capacity and a genuine passion for music education to inspire students
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and can build positive relationships with students and staff
* A reliable and organised approach and commitment to delivering consistent, high-quality lessons
* The ability to work collaboratively as part of a dynamic music team
