Professional Fire Safety Engineering Opportunities
About the Role
We are seeking highly skilled Fire Safety Engineers to provide contemporary guidance and advice to stakeholders. The successful candidates will work closely with project managers, design teams, and other stakeholders to assess and evaluate fire engineering reports and provide expert advice on projects in the built environment.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Provide professional fire engineering support to staff delivering on-ground services.
* Negotiate with stakeholders, project managers, and design teams.
* Evaluate fire engineering reports and provide expert advice.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have a degree in Engineering or equivalent qualifications and be licensed or eligible to become licensed as a Fire Engineer through Consumer, Building and Occupational Services (CBOS) Tasmania.
Desirable Qualifications
* Two years' experience working in a leadership or supervisory capacity in a fire engineering / fire safety environment.
* Current driver's license.
About You
We are looking for individuals who possess excellent technical competence in the field of fire engineering, including computer-based modelling. A proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and build strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders is essential.
You will have a demonstrated understanding and knowledge of built environment legislation, standards, codes, and practices, and the ability to apply this knowledge in a regulatory environment.
A highly developed report writing skillset, including research and interpretation of built environment information, is also required.
