The Opportunity
We're seeking an experienced Project Manager with proven expertise in water infrastructure construction to lead the delivery of critical water projects across Melbourne. This is a hands‐on, site‐based role where your deep understanding of water industry requirements, regulations, and construction methodologies will be essential to project success.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you'll drive project success across program planning, health and safety, quality, commercial performance, and sustainability objectives.
Essential Criteria
Location: Must be based in the Melbourne area - this is a site‐based role
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Project Management, or related field
Experience:
* Proven track record managing construction projects within the water sector
* Demonstrated project delivery success across planning, safety, quality, commercial, and sustainability
* Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
Skills:
* Strong project management principles and methodologies
* Excellent leadership and communication abilities
* Proficiency in MS Office Suite and project management software
* Ability to adapt to changing priorities
Key Responsibilities
* Establish and maintain a positive safety culture across all projects
* Develop project budgets, forecasts, and accruals
* Manage contracts, variations, and Extensions of Time
* Comprehensive project planning including procurement, scheduling, and resourcing
* Ensure quality systems compliance and documentation standards
* Foster collaborative stakeholder relationships
* Identify sustainable and social procurement opportunities
