About the Role
Corporate Driver Training Australia (CDTA) is seeking passionate and professional Defensive Driver Trainers to join our national team.
This flexible contractor role is ideal for individuals who:
* Enjoy traveling
* Love teaching others
* Want the freedom to manage their own schedule
* Are passionate about road safety and defensive driving
You will conduct high-quality corporate and practical training sessions, helping drivers improve safety, awareness, and confidence behind the wheel.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver practical and theoretical Defensive Driver Training to corporate and government clients
* Conduct on-road assessments, coaching sessions, and safety briefings
* Maintain a high level of professionalism, safety, and customer service
* Travel to client locations across Melbourne, regional VIC, and occasional interstate assignments
* Complete basic reporting and feedback after each training session
* Represent CDTA with integrity and strong safety values
What We're Looking For
Essential Criteria
* Ability and willingness to travel within Darwin, Melbourne, regional Victoria, and interstate when required
* Flexible working hours – weekdays with occasional weekend work
* Must have your own reliable vehicle suitable for travel and training
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* A genuine interest in driving, safety, and road education
* Previous driving-related experience (e.g., fleet industry, logistics, emergency services, military, transport, 4WD, etc.)
Desirable (Not Mandatory)
* TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or higher)
* Driving Instructor License – highly regarded
* If you don't have one, CDTA can assist you in obtaining it
* Experience in defensive driving, 4WD, heavy vehicle, or corporate driver training
* Training, coaching, or mentoring experience
