About the Opportunity:
We seek an experienced professional to fill a part-time finance position.
Key Responsibilities
* Financial Reporting: Prepare and submit regular financial reports.
* Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop, review, and implement budgets.
* Strategic Planning and Analysis: Provide financial analysis to support strategic planning.
* Donations Management: Oversee donations, pledges, and donor relationships.
* Process Improvements: Identify and implement process improvements for enhanced efficiency.
* Risk Management: Monitor and manage financial risks.
* Team Management: Supervise bookkeepers and oversee payroll coordinators.
* Day-to-Day Finance Function: Review and process batches, payroll, debtors, and bank account reconciliations.
Selection Criteria
* 7+ years of experience in accounting or a related field.
* Proficiency in accounting software, Xero, and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
* Ability to translate complex financial information into clear insights.
* Effective communication and time management skills.
* Strong understanding of accounting principles and not-for-profit sector requirements.
