Role Overview Position Type: Full Time Permanent Position of Leadership: POL 3 (three-year tenure) Start Date: Term 1, 2027 Location: Melbourne's Western Suburbs Subject Areas: Languages: Italian and Auslan Salary: $78,564 to $118,063 FTE depending on experience and classification. POL allowances apply for leadership positions. Role Responsibilities Lead curriculum planning, assessment design, moderation and data analysis across the Languages (Italian and Auslan) learning area Model, mentor and coach teachers towards instructional excellence through evidence-informed lesson demonstrations and feedback Promote cultural understanding and student engagement across Italian and Auslan programs at all year levels Coordinate cross-campus consistency in Languages curriculum delivery in line with the Victorian Curriculum and VCAA requirements Manage the Languages learning area budget, resources, booklists and professional learning opportunities for staff Collaborate with college leadership to actively promote Languages across the school community and support co-curricular language initiatives About You You're a qualified teacher who: Holds or is eligible to obtain Australian/NZ Citizenship, PR or valid work rights (Working Holiday Visa holders encouraged to apply) Holds or is eligible to obtain Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) Registration Has an updated resume and can provide at least two recent professional references Brings creativity and adaptability to lesson planning and delivery Maintains high expectations for student learning and wellbeing How to Get Started Are you ready to take the next step in your teaching career?
