AFC WOMEN'S ASIAN CUP **** LOC OFFICE
The Kick-off Story
The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) has awarded Football Australia hosting rights for the **** edition of the AFC Women's Asian CupTM.
This marks Australia's second time hosting the event, after previously staging it in ****, and follows the success of co-hosting the **** FIFA Women's World CupTM.
You will be part of a Local Organising Committee (LOC), which has been established for the sole purpose of delivering the **** edition of the AFC Women's Asian CupTM in Australia.
This prestigious event will bring together 12 nations in a tournament structured into three groups of four.
We are eager to create another tournament that celebrates women's football and multicultural Australia and also delivers legacy outcomes for football and Australian society more broadly.

Please note that this role is fixed term from January until March ****.
Fan Activation Zones & Precinct Delivery
Lead all planning, delivery, and pack-down of the Fan Activation Zone, ensuring alignment with creative, operational, and safety standards.
Coordinate with entertainment providers and monitor presentation, crowd flow, accessibility, and risk management.
Volunteer Coordination
Oversee volunteer deployment, supervision, welfare, and communication across fan zones and concourse areas.
Act as the on-ground leader, maintaining morale and contributing to post-match feedback and reporting.
Commercial Partner Liaison
Serve as the primary venue contact for partner activations, supporting setup, approvals, branding checks, and troubleshooting.
Ensure all activations meet contractual rights and coordinate reporting with the central Commercial team.
Merchandise Coordination
Support merchandise vendors with setup, queue management, and service presentation.
Monitor compliance with brand standards and provide venue-level feedback on performance and engagement.
Matchday Operations and Reporting
Participate in matchday briefings and ensure all fan-facing elements are show-ready throughout the event.
Produce daily reports covering volunteers, crowd insights, partner delivery, and incidents, collaborating closely with key stadium teams.
What Gets You in the Game?
3–5 years' experience in event operations, live event coordination, or fan engagement.
Experience working in large-scale public environments such as stadiums, festivals or cultural events.
Strong people leadership experience, particularly with volunteers or casual staff.
Proven ability to deliver commercial or sponsor activations in live event settings.
Excellent communication, multitasking and team coordination skills.
Ability to thrive under pressure and in rapidly changing environments.

Full working rights in Australia (please note that due to the fixed-term nature of the tournament, we are unable to offer sponsorship for this position)
Working with children check (paid/employee) or state-based equivalent
Out of hours and weekend work as required
