The Opportunity
Responsibilities
We currently have an opening for a Design Draftsperson in our Wetherill Park, NSW branch. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for:
Supporting Unique' s customers and clients through all issues relating to the Laser cutting and fabrication of their productsServicing our customer's needs and requests professionally, thoroughly and in a timely mannerProvide technical support to our production, sales and customer service departmentsCreating Shopfloor drawingsModifying customer concepts to create detailed fabrication drawingsReverse engineer cad files to create 2d flat patterns for laser cutting
About You
Experience in Manufacturing with a high degree of experience in drafting for the metal industry
An understanding of fabrication processes including, laser cutting, folding, welding and assembly processes
Experience with 2D and 3D design packages, preferably Inventor / Autocad softwareExperience in Sheetmetal designAbility to prepare bills of materialsLiaising with suppliers to source componentsExcellent customer service skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to prioritise and work to tight deadlinesWilling to learn brake press folding softwareAn understanding of drawing standardsA working knowledge of MS Office
