We are a busy and growing fusion café specialising in Kenyan-inspired cuisine combined with local Australian flavours. Due to the continued growth of our business, we are urgently seeking an experienced and skilled Pastry Cook / Pastry Chef with Certificate IV or equivalent to take responsibility for and manage all pastry operations within our kitchen.
Duties and Responsibility:
The role is an integral part of the business's day-to-day operations and supports the ongoing production our Café's pastry and dessert offerings. The position focuses on preparing and finishing a range of pastries and desserts that form part of the business's regular menu, while ensuring consistency in quality, presentation, and flavour across all products.
The role also involves planning daily pastry production in line with operational needs, managing ingredients and stock levels to support efficient workflow, and ensuring all food preparation activities comply with food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety requirements. As part of a collaborative kitchen environment, the position contributes to maintaining smooth service delivery and may provide guidance and support to other kitchen staff as required.
