About the Role
We're seeking an experienced and driven Business Development Manager (BDM) to accelerate growth across New South Wales within our broker channel.
Based in Sydney and reporting directly to the Chief Commercial Officer, this role is perfect for a self-starter who thrives on building strong broker relationships, driving sales activity, and delivering exceptional service.
You'll represent the Alex Bank brand across the Sydney metro region and broader NSW markets — strengthening existing partnerships, onboarding new brokers, and working closely with our internal sales and operations teams to deliver a seamless broker and customer experience from first contact through to settlement.

What You'll Do
• Drive and grow sales across our secured car loan and personal lending broker network in NSW.
• Build, nurture, and expand relationships with brokers, aggregators, and affiliate partners.
• Represent Alex Bank through face-to-face meetings, workshops, training sessions, webinars, and industry events.
• Educate and support brokers on our products, systems, and policies to boost conversion and pipeline velocity.
• Develop and execute a territory sales plan aligned with national growth targets.
• Collaborate closely with internal BDMs and support teams to deliver an outstanding experience for brokers and customers.
• Identify challenges, opportunities, and performance gaps to drive continual improvement across the channel.

What You'll Bring
• 5+ years' experience in business development, sales, or relationship management within financial services.
• A strong existing network of brokers and aggregators in NSW (asset finance or personal lending experience highly regarded).
• Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
• A proactive, self-motivated approach with the ability to work autonomously across a large territory.
• Passion for delivering value, supporting partners, and building long-term relationships.
• Solid understanding of lending fundamentals, credit processes, and broker distribution.
