The Role The General Manager Health, Safety, & Training will lead the strategic direction and execution of HSE and training initiatives across the business. This role is critical in embedding a high-performance safety culture, ensuring regulatory compliance, and strengthening workforce capability across mining and drilling operations. Key Details Full-time, permanent position Competitive salary package Residential role based in Orange, NSW Key Responsibilities Lead and implement the HS & Training strategy across all operations Drive a proactive, safety-first culture in high-risk mining and drilling Ensure compliance with WHS legislation, environmental standards, and industry requirements Oversee workforce training, competency frameworks, and continuous development programs Partner with operational leaders to embed safety and capability into performance outcomes Lead incident investigations, risk management, and continuous improvement initiatives Monitor and report on HSE performance, trends, and training effectiveness Build and lead a high-performing national HSE & Training team About You Proven senior leadership experience in WHS within mining, drilling, or heavy industry Demonstrated success driving safety culture and organisational change Strong knowledge of Australian WHS legislation and training frameworks Experience leading both safety and workforce training functions Exceptional stakeholder engagement and leadership capability Relevant tertiary qualification in Health & Safety (or similar discipline) Requirements: Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency Ability to pass pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening Current Police Clearance (within 6 months) Ready for the Next Step?
