Australian Naval Infrastructure Pty Ltd (ANI) owns, develops, and manages the Osborne Naval Shipyards, supporting the Commonwealth's Naval Shipbuilding Plan. ANI is responsible for designing, constructing, and managing the shipyard infrastructure, including the new Nuclear-Powered Submarine Construction Yard to support the AUKUS program, and operating and maintaining common use facilities.
Opportunity
ANI has an opportunity for an experienced Precinct Maintenance Technician to join our dedicated Operations team at the Osborne Naval Shipyard. The role is responsible for the safe and efficient maintenance and operation of the Shipyard.
Responsibilities
* Perform maintenance, fault finding and repair of ANI plant and equipment across the precinct.
* Plan, schedule, coordinate, supervise and allocate tasks to contractors for maintenance, fault finding and repair of ANI plant and equipment across the precinct.
* Provide leadership in meeting work, health, safety, environment and quality management obligations in the facilities team, and develop and maintain a positive safety culture.
* Conduct pre‐start meetings with contractors, including the establishment of required permits and approvals.
* Conduct completion meetings with contractors, recognizing any emergent work that requires follow‐up work orders.
* Undertake all necessary training to obtain licences/tickets for other site‐related requirements, including forklift driving, working at heights, confined space, etc., and once trained, perform relevant tasks as required.
Qualifications
Trade qualification in a relevant field (e.g., electrical fitting, fitting and turning, plumbing and gas fitting) with experience on heavy industrial sites in electrical or mechanical maintenance environments.
Ability to develop and implement systems, plans and procedures within a defined schedule.
