About The Role
We are seeking a Full Time Medical Receptionist to join our supportive team at Busselton. You will be the welcoming face and voice of Apex Radiology — supporting patients, referrers, and our clinical teams with high-quality service and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
* Welcome patients and manage front-desk responsibilities in a professional and empathetic manner
* Answer telephone enquiries and respond efficiently and sensitively to patient needs
* Schedule patient appointments and determine examination requirements
* Communicate preparation instructions, procedure costs, and billing information clearly to patients
* Register patients, manage paperwork, and handle billing and EFTPOS transactions
* Ensure timely and accurate dispatch of reports
* Perform Medicare and Veterans Affairs claims batching
* Support other administrative tasks as directed by management
About You
* Familiarity with patient booking and entry systems preferred but not required (RIS experience highly regarded)
* Strong knowledge of medical terminology would be preferable but not required
* High level of professionalism, empathy, and interpersonal communication skills
* Excellent time management, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities
* Accuracy in data entry and confident use of Microsoft Office and practice software
* Cash handling and EFTPOS experience
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
* Willingness to work across multiple sites if required
