An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Catchment Management Planner to join a high-performing local government team on a contract basis. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering key waterway and flood risk management projects that support long-term environmental sustainability and urban resilience. Key Responsibilities: Lead the Duck River Flood Risk Management Study & Plan Review and update planning controls related to: Flood risk management Water conservation and sustainable water use Stormwater flow and wastewater management Pollution control, sedimentation, and water quality improvements Develop and manage integrated stormwater and waterway strategies Oversee consultants, project budgets, and funding applications Collaborate with state agencies, technical experts, and internal stakeholders About You: Tertiary qualifications in environmental engineering, planning, natural resource management or a related field Strong experience in floodplain or stormwater management Familiarity with WSUD principles and catchment-scale planning Proven ability to manage technical projects, consultants, and budgets Experience in interpreting and updating planning instruments (LEPs, DCPs) This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to meaningful environmental outcomes while working on high-impact projects in a growing urban area.
