We are looking for an experienced leader to shape the future of our biodiversity consulting practice. As the National Head of Biodiversity, you will provide strategic direction to a growing national team while driving business development to expand our consulting services. This senior role combines leadership, client engagement, and commercial growth to strengthen CO2 Australia’s position as a leader in biodiversity and conservation consulting.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, build and develop a high performing team of biodiversity specialists, embedding a strong commercial and business acumen in support of strategic goals.
- Build collaborative channels within the wider CO2 organisation to build cross-functional and multi-disciplinary offerings.
- Engage strategically with the broader market, regulatory and science community to influence the design and implementation of biodiversity, environmental delivery, and accounting standards.
- Oversee the delivery of programs for major infrastructure projects and ecological planting engagements.
- Foster and develop an innovation and growth culture.
- Lead proposal development for major biodiversity projects and serve as the primary technical expert for client presentations and stakeholder consultations.
Experience Required
- A degree in Ecology, Environmental science, or related discipline (Master’s degree preferred but not essential).
- A minimum of 10 years’ experience in a consulting environment, with a developed working knowledge of resource and utilisation management.
- Robust leadership, prioritisation, stakeholder management, and highly effective communication skills.
