Role Overview:
The Sales Administrator will play a crucial role in supporting the sales team by managing administrative tasks and liaising with customers to provide efficient and timely responses. The primary focus will be to streamline processes across billing, provisioning, support, and migrations, ensuring our customers receive responsive service and our sales team can concentrate on driving growth. This role reports directly to the General Manager of Sales and Marketing and may be required to assist with reporting and forecasting tasks to support strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Support:
Assist the sales team by managing day-to-day administrative tasks.
Ensure sales documentation, quotes, and proposals are accurate and delivered on time.
Coordinate with internal departments to track the progress of customer orders and escalate issues as needed.
Customer Liaison:
Act as the primary point of contact for the sales team handling customer inquiries related to billing, provisioning, and support requests.
Ensure customers receive timely updates and resolutions to their requests and issues.
Support the onboarding and migration process by monitoring and working with internal departments to achieve key milestones and ensuring timely customer communication.
Project-Based Work:
Collaborate with customers and internal teams to support project-based initiatives, ensuring clear communication and alignment with project goals.
Track project milestones, resolve issues, and provide updates to ensure successful project outcomes.
Coordinate with stakeholders to gather requirements, monitor progress, and ensure timely completion.
Order and Provisioning Management:
Track the status of orders and provisioning tasks, ensuring timelines are met and customers are informed of progress.
Collaborate with provisioning and technical teams to ensure customer requirements are understood and delivered accurately.
Billing and Account Support:
Assist customers with billing inquiries and liaise with the finance team to resolve issues efficiently.
Prepare and review invoices as requested by the sales team or customers.
Process Improvement:
Identify opportunities to improve processes related to customer communication and administrative workflows.
Provide feedback to enhance tools and systems that support sales and customer engagement.
Revenue Opportunities:
Identify potential revenue opportunities through customer interactions and data insights.
Liaise with the sales team to ensure identified opportunities are capitalised upon and necessary follow-ups are completed.
Skills & Experience Required:
Experience in a sales administration, customer service, or support coordination role preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers and internal teams is a must.
Exceptional organisational and time-management abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
Familiarity with billing systems, CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce), and ticketing systems is highly desirable.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasks and priorities.
While technical knowledge is not compulsory, having knowledge of computing and cloud services is beneficial. Training will be provided to build this knowledge as required.
