AT-PAC GROUP is a customer service driven, scaffold material manufacturer and supplier.
We are seeking an experienced Yard Operations Manager to join our Team at Broadmeadows.
This role is full-time hours inline with the Operations of the Yard.
As the Yard Operations Manager, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day operations of our scaffolding yard. This includes overseeing stock control, coordinating equipment movements, maintaining safety standards, and leading the yard team and supporting the ops admin position.
Key responsibilities include, but not limited to:
* To ensure efficient execution of all yard related activities such as picking, loading, returns, service and maintenance, quality management, inspections, stock counting
* Overseeing the picking of items for scheduled deliveries, ensuring all are correctly counted and packed safely and securely for transport
* Lead and mentor a team of yard staff by developing high performers and managing performance issues
* To run of daily toolbox meetings to ensure that daily schedules are managed and resources are allocated efficiently to minimise costs and maximise productivity
* To coordinate inbound and outbound container shipments with the relevant stakeholders
* Conduct regular stocktakes and maintain accurate inventory records and play a key role in the yearly stocktake process
* Ensure the yard is clean, organised, and compliant with WHS regulations
* Maintaining detailed records to ensure compliance with service delivery and maintenance of equipment. Ensure that training records and licences are up to date for all staff.
* Efficiently allocating and identifying labour requirements and equipment resources to meet operational needs
* Identify and implement process improvements to boost efficiency
* Ensure that daily focus on the health and safety of the yard is of the upmost importance and focus.
What we are looking for;
* At least 5 years' experience in a similar role and industry
* Prior experience in a leadership role
* Proficient using Microsoft Office applications and internal databases
* Holder of a valid driver's license, forklift license would be ideal or willing to obtain license.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Strong leadership skills to build and manage a diverse team
* Results driven and target-focused and ability to work under pressure
* Ability to solve problems using technical proficiency and analytical skills
* Manages time effectively and adjusts priorities based on business demands
