Join to apply for the Heavy Vehicle Mechanic - Brisbane North role at Volvo Trucks. We are seeking qualified Heavy Vehicle Technicians to join Volvo Commercial Vehicles (VCV) Brisbane North, based in Pinkenba. Volvo Commercial Vehicles (VCV) Australia are Volvo Group owned distribution centres for Volvo Trucks, Mack Trucks, UD Trucks and Volvo Buses. At VCV we encompass sales, service and parts for Volvo Group vehicles. The team made up of Mechanics, Auto‑Electricians, Trades Assistants, Apprentices, Service Advisors and Costing Clerks prides itself on running a quality and highly efficient operation, in a supportive team environment.
Our shifts run from 6:30am to 2:30pm and 2:30pm to 10:30pm, with the afternoon shift in highest demand. Location: Pinkenba, Brisbane North. Onsite parking available; food and coffee vans nearby.
What You Will Do (Responsibilities)
* Work primarily on Volvo, Mack and UD brands
* Steering and suspension repairs
* Electrical faults, diagnosis and repairs
* Braking systems diagnosis and repairs
* Component overhauls
* Driveline repairs
* Preventative maintenance services and repairs
* Onsite and breakdown repairs
Who You Are (Qualifications and Skills)
* Certificate III Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology qualification or equivalent
* Proven experience working in a commercial environment on trucks and/or buses
* Some exposure to light auto-electrical work
* Pro‑active attitude with a drive to work efficiently
* Positive safety attitude with a team‑focused mindset
* Passion for providing quality work
* Appropriate working rights to work permanently in Australia
