About the Role
Our Cairns head office is expanding, and we're seeking a highly capable Logistics & Procurement Manager to lead and shape our national logistics operations and procurement strategy. This is a key leadership role overseeing 6 warehouse, procurement and logistics staff in Cairns and Melbourne, and managing relationships and contracts with our 3PL partners and suppliers.
You will be responsible for ensuring efficient, accurate and cost‑effective stock storage, despatch and delivery; meeting customer expectations across Australia and New Zealand. The role also includes supplier negotiation, inventory management, improving processes, managing stocktakes, reporting on metrics and KPI's, budget management and the development of high‑performing logistics and warehouse teams. Selection Criteria
* Hands on experience and in‑depth knowledge of the logistics industry, including freight operations and platforms, warehousing, pick and pack operations, and procurement or merchandising.
* Knowledge of budgets and relevant P&L experience.
* Sound understanding of the selecting, pricing and positioning of products and management principles.
* Demonstrated past achievement in academic, personal or professional endeavours.
* Demonstrated experience in implementing significant changes in business processes.
* Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
* Excellent computer skills (being highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel).
* Willingness to travel as needed to support relationship management & operation requirements.
* A current driver's licence is essential.
