About the Role
The Finance Manager is responsible for the successful financial administration of Western Edge, ensuring the company successfully meets all financial, and by extension funding, administrative, and regulatory requirements, on schedule and on budget. Working closely with Western Edge's core team, the Finance Manager provides vital input and expertise into the development and management of financial resources and processes to ensure the sustainable operation of the company. The position supports the delivery of business development and programming outcomes, as directed by the Business and Operations Manager.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
* Financial: Managing the financial administration of the Company, ensuring that income and expenditure is within budget, and ensuring that sufficient revenue is generated to sustainably support the company's ongoing operations
* Strategic: Contributing to the achievement of the Company's strategic goals and to Annual Business Plans in support of the same
* Organisational: Actively contributing to an inclusive, positive, and safe workplace culture

Key Selection Criteria
* 3+ years' experience or equivalent as a Finance Manager
* Sound understanding of finance fundamentals, accounting standards and compliance.
* Art, theatre, or non-profit finance knowledge or experience favourable.
* Experience in management of budgets, revenue processes, accounts payable and receivable, assets, liabilities, and depreciation, creditors and debtors, reconciliations, reporting (e.g. to Board, ATO, ACNC, funding acquittals)
* Experience in payroll processing and compliance
* Ability to oversee financial accountability by company personnel
* Experience with key finance and organisational platforms and tools including MYOB and Microsoft Office 365
* A high-level of cultural competency and experience working with First Nations People, People of Colour and structurally disadvantaged communities. Where such experience may need developing, an ability to articulate your skills gap and identify approaches to building your own knowledge capacity is required.
