We are currently seeking an experienced Panel Beater / Spray Painter to join our family run established body repair and mechanical shop in Springvale, Victoria.
* Full time, permanent position available for panel beater and car paint sprayer

What We're Looking For
* Previous experience as a Panel Beater and/or Spray Painter
* Trade qualification in Automotive Body Repair (preferred but not essential)
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
* Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated with a positive attitude
Panel Beater – Key Responsibilities
* Assess vehicle damage and determine repair methods
* Remove, repair, and replace damaged panels and body components
* Perform panel beating, straightening, filling, and reshaping of panels
* Carry out welding, cutting, and metal fabrication as required
* Align panels, doors, guards, and structural components to manufacturer specifications
* Prepare repaired areas for painting by sanding and surface finishing
* Ensure all repairs meet safety, quality, and industry standards
* Maintain a clean and safe work area
Car Paint Sprayer – Key Responsibilities
* Prepare vehicle surfaces for painting, including sanding, masking, and priming
* Mix paints and coatings to manufacturer specifications and colour codes
* Operate spray booths and spray equipment safely and efficiently
* Apply primer, basecoat, and clear coat to achieve high-quality finishes
* Inspect painted surfaces for defects and carry out rectification when required
* Maintain spray equipment, tools, and spray booth cleanliness
* Follow workplace health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Pay: $40.00 – $60.00 per hour
