We have an exciting opportunity for a Work, Health and Safety Officer within a leading Australian owned manufacturer. Reporting to the General Manager, the role will require facilitation and implementation of safety initiatives on site. You will play an integral role supporting and advising stakeholders by promoting visible safety leadership throughout the organisation.
**What we are looking for**
- Knowledge of managing safety plans
- Knowledge of ICAM or equivalent incident investigation process
- Relevant or similar experience in a safety role
- Ability to influence and coach others
- A professional, positive and approachable disposition
- Someone with a hands-on approach
- An independent, resilient and self-confident person
**Position Requirements**
- Tertiary qualification in Work health and Safety (WHS) or associated discipline or demonstrated extensive experience in WH&S; and risk management.
- Lead, manage and drive continuous improvement of WHS systems, policy, and procedure
- Demonstrated experience in facilitating change and improvements to deliver successful and significant business outcomes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including negotiation and objection handling with sound problem solving skills, and the ability to adapt to a fast paced and changing environment
- Working with the injury management specialist to coordinate the return-to-work process
- Conducting on-site investigations
- Submitting monthly safety reports
- Developing site safety KPI's
