Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

Duties & Responsibilities
* Mechanical engineering design with multidisciplinary focus, including CAD drawing of mechanical designs;
* Professional training and development to enhance technical expertise;
* Delivering high-quality building services engineering documentation to clients;
* Administration of site activities/installations, ensuring seamless project delivery;
* Client meetings and communication to build strong relationships;
* Designing mechanical equipment, machines, components, products for manufacture, and plant and systems for construction;
* Developing specifications for manufacture and determining materials, equipment, piping, material flows, capacities, and layout of plant and systems;
* Establishing standards and policies for installation, modification, quality control, testing, inspection, and maintenance according to engineering principles and safety regulations;
* Inspecting plant to ensure optimum performance is maintained;
* Directing the maintenance of plant, buildings, and equipment, and coordinating requirements for new designs, surveys, and maintenance schedules.
Candidate Requirements
* To be considered for this role, you will have at least three years' experience in Building Services Engineering including design and documentation of HVAC systems within commercial buildings for high-end office Fit-outs, Data Centres, and Plant Upgrades;
* Must have HVAC experience in commercial buildings;
* A Victorian Building Practitioners certificate would be an advantage but not mandatory;
* You would be self-motivated with the ability to manage your own time to deliver and manage projects on time and in line with company quality expectations;
* You will have a flexible and innovative approach to your work and work well in a small team environment;
* Lead by example displaying a can-do attitude when satisfying project and client needs;
* You will be encouraged to keep abreast of current and emerging trends within your discipline including Australian Building Code, OH&S compliance, NABERS, Greenstar, and good practice design;
* Good communication skills when communicating internally and externally with reports, presentations, and specification writing;
* Sufficient understanding of multiple disciplines to represent the company during general meetings.
