Our finance team is currently working through areporting backlog, and we're seeking anexperienced Financial Accountantto join us on a6-month contract.
We're looking for astrong technical accountant, ideally with prioroil & gas industry experience, to help drive reporting deliverables forward and support compliance and audit readiness.
Key Responsibilities:
* Financial Reporting:Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in line withAustralian Accounting StandardsandIFRS
* Statutory Reporting:Deliver statutory accounts for Australian legal entities; ensure compliance with corporate and financial regulations
* Audit Coordination:Lead external audit processes, manage timelines, and resolve technical accounting issues
* Technical Accounting:Ensure accurate accounting treatment for complex transactions in line with applicable standards
* Financial Accounting:Complete quarterlybalance sheet reconciliations
* Month-End Review:Support review of journal entries and financial close activities
Requirements:
* Proven experience infinancial and statutory reporting
* Strong technical accounting skillswith up-to-date knowledge of AASB and IFRS
* Experience coordinatingexternal audits
* Prior experience in theoil & gas or energy sectorstrongly
* CA/CPA qualified or equivalent
