About the Position
Our Nowra site is filled with a welcoming and social team. We are seeking plant operators with a can‐do attitude and strong work ethic to join us. If you enjoy working across different equipment and machinery, we are interested in talking to you.
You will complete a range of tasks to assist in our production processes and will be involved in end‐to‐end production, playing a key part in producing high‐quality timber products.
Shift Times
* Monday to Thursday 6:00 am – 4:20 pm
Key Responsibilities
* Playing a key part in the production of high‐quality timber products.
* Operating various plant machinery including circular and band saws, automatic stacking equipment, gas‐fired kilns, and moulders.
* Assisting with grading products, identifying defects and accurately sawing and measuring.
* Moving, sorting and strapping timber to process for shipping and delivery.
* General labouring and timber mill duties, ensuring the work area is clean and free of debris on an ongoing basis.
* Managing inventory to ensure a smooth production line with no delays or hold‐ups.
* Maintaining a constant focus on health & safety across all areas of the site.
Requirements
* Previous experience in machine operating, labouring, manual handling or a production environment is highly desirable.
* Positive attitude, reliability and punctuality.
* Strong commitment to safety.
* Knowledge of the timber industry is favourable.
* Physical fitness and ability to manually handle various sizes of timber product.
* Ability to work effectively within a team and deliver work to a high standard.
