Job Description Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Civil Remediation Crew Leader to join Service Stream Team based out in Townsville, Cairns or Mackay
About the Role
The key objective of this position is to lead a 2-person Crew in the day-to-day operations activities within the Service Stream/ NBN contract. You will be responsible for the maintenance and install of underground and internal communications assets.
Nature of position: Permanent /Full time
Location: Townsville, Cairns or Mackay
Reporting Line: Field Supervisor
**Job Description**:
- Lead and direct, a 2-person crew in the Civil Remediation Space
- Ensure daily activities are met to achieve set KPI's
- Ensure all field work is of a high quality consistent with Service Stream and NBN Standard work practices.
- Ensure all aspects of work are Completed Safely and in line with HSE Policies and Procedures
- To be considered for this opportunity you will have the following skills and experience
- Previous Civil Remediation Experience in the Telstra or NBN Network..
- Relevant field experience in survey, rod & roping, hauling, and splicing.
- Relevant technical qualifications.
- Previous experience meeting targets/budgets
- Competent in reading and interpreting cable install plans
- Competent in utilising tablet device
- Previous experience in Pipe Proving/Scoping for cable install
- Ability to haul various types of cable types/sizes
- Fibre and Hard-line
- Confined Space & Gas Test
- Telstra Contractor Induction
- NBN enAble Induction-Asbestos Awareness Training
- RIIWHS302D- Implement traffic management plan
- First Aid & CPR Course HLTAID011
- Knowledge of different types of Telecommunication Networks/Carriers Requirements
- Basic Civil works experience
- Valid Driver's License

- Lead, direct, supervise and coordinate the activities of field staff and sub-contractors within NBN ODM
- Undertake scheduling of work, staff and equipment to ensure production targets are met
- Ensure all field work is of a high quality consistent with relevant HSE policies and procedures
- Ensure all field staff are allocated with the required PPE and equipment to complete their tasks.
- Coordinate and assist in the training of all staff and sub
- contractors
- Liaise with the client and its customers to appropriately manage the client's network and plant
Qualifications required
- Relevant technical qualifications.
- Survey, rod & roping, hauling and splicing.
- 5 years Field based
