House Manager (Residential Care)
Lead and manage a team of residential support workers in a safe, nurturing environment for children and young people.
This permanent full-time position oversees the day-to-day operations of a residential facility in Tasmania, ensuring the well-being and safety of residents.
* Establish trusting relationships with children and young people through active engagement and visible interest.
* Ensure the home is emotionally and physically safe, engaging, and stimulating to foster growth and resilience.
* Manage a team of residential workers, providing reflective supervision and leading staff to work collaboratively for the best interests of children and young people.
* Support staff in applying the Therapeutic Crisis Intervention system to prevent, de-escalate, and respond to crisis incidents involving children and young people.
* Coordinate the intake and transition of new children and young people into the facility and their exit to permanent homes or step-down services.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Minimum Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention or similar qualification.
* Experience working with children and young people who have experienced trauma and disadvantage.
* Demonstrated experience in managing and leading a team.
* Current Unrestricted Australian Drivers Licence.
* First Aid and CPR Certificates.
* Completed Safe Environments training.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills, including strong interpersonal skills and Microsoft Office package proficiency.
