Occupational Therapist Role
Our organization seeks an Occupational Therapist to fill a key position in our allied health services. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with adults and/or paediatric clients in a mixed caseload.
* The Occupational Therapist will tailor their role towards assessment or therapy-based casework, with a strong focus on National Disability Insurance Scheme requirements.
* They will conduct functional / activities of daily living assessments and support needs recommendations.
* Perform assistive technology assessments for individuals with simple and complex needs.
* Deliver fine motor and gross motor therapy sessions.
* Carry out housing needs assessments including supported independent living and specialist disability accommodation options.
* Provide one-to-one therapy - evidence-based and goal-orientated interventions.
* Assess and implement 24-hour seating and positioning recommendations.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A degree in occupational therapy and registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
* A current working with children check and national police check.
* A current driver's license and own vehicle.
* Australian citizenship or permanent residency.
