Key Responsibilities:
AIN
* Support Enrolled and Registered Nurses/Midwives by assisting with routine patient/client care and activities of daily living, delivering respectful and person-centred care.
* Perform a range of basic nursing and support duties within scope, including preparing for nursing procedures, cleaning equipment and maintaining local stock levels.
* Contribute to a physically and culturally safe care environment by following established policies, procedures, protocols and systems of work.
* Participate in quality improvement and evaluative activities through accurate recording, reporting and data collection as required.
* Undertake care activities that support learning and skill development in line with the qualification in which you are enrolled, within the defined organisational scope of an Assistant in Nursing.
ENC/END
* Deliver safe, person-centred nursing care by undertaking assessments, routine procedures and care activities appropriate to the area of practice and within scope.
* Under the direction of a Registered Nurse/Midwife, plan, prioritise and complete nursing care tasks, demonstrating initiative, sound clinical judgement and accountability for own practice.
* Work collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team, including supporting and overseeing Assistants in Nursing and students in the provision of care.
* Contribute to quality improvement, evidence-based practice and research activities, supporting continuous improvement of patient and service outcomes.
* Provide education to patients, families and carers, contribute to the learning of others, and actively maintain professional development and competence.
