We are looking for experienced Chefs / Sous Chefs & Cooks for our clients in Charters Towers, Townsville, and Ayr Queensland. The positions are full time, $70-$90K a year salary depending on the experience and the position.
In this hands on roles, the chosen candidates must :
* Ensure food preparation and quality is of the highest standard possible
* Manage stock levels and follow company procedures and recipe guidelines
* Ensure hygiene is maintained to the required standards
* Maintain a clean and organised kitchen during and after service
* Assist the head chef in cost control and assist in ensuring budgeted profit and targets are met
* Able to work unsupervised and harmoniously with the rest of the brigade
* Sous Chefs must be able to manage the kitchen in absence of the head chef
To be successful for this role you will possess the following :
* At least 1-Year of relevant employment experience is required in prep and a la carte essential (Lunch & Dinner)
* Appropriate trade qualifications
* Experience in fast paced, service and quality focused venues
* Guest orientated and passionate about food
* Sound knowledge of food hygiene practices
* The ability to work well under pressure with an eye for detail
* Excellent interpersonal skills, relatively good English communication skills
* Possess a positive attitude and work well as a part of the team
