 
        
        We are seeking a Fitter and Turner who works from detailed technical specifications and uses specialised tools to construct, manufacture and assemble industrial tools and machine components, usually from metal. You will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of machines. 
You will be an experienced Fitter and turner that has worked in many sectors of the economy where you may have used your skills to construct and repair many different types of large machinery, including: 
diesel-electric backup power generators 
diesel-powered generators and other machinery used in shipbuilding yards 
machinery in industrial or processing plants 
motorised machines such as excavators, bulldozers and road graders 
parts of trains and railway tracks

Experience & qualifications: 
Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade (Fitting/Machining) 
Familiarity working with carbon and or metal stock or components 
Comfortable working in a workshop setting 
Good physically fitness to carry out work requirements 
Able to plan to achieve outcomes and manage multiple responsibilities 
Keen problem-solving skills and attention to detail 
Good communication is required to help plan production and to diagnose a fault of problem 
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to fit within our culture 
Ability to complete work with a high degree of accuracy within a tolerance 
Pay: $47.00 per hour 
Expected hours: No less than 38 per week
