ABOUT THE ROLE
The Finance & Payroll Officer is responsible for the full financial and payroll lifecycles, from day-to-day bookkeeping to month-end close, as well as statutory and ATO compliance. A key requirement is expertise in end-to-end payroll, including timesheeting, leave, and all related processing and compliance. This role is ideal for a skilled professional who ensures financial accuracy and efficiency across finance, payroll, compliance and reporting. This is a part-time role, 20 hours per week.
ABOUT YOU
To succeed in this role, you need:
* A diploma or degree in Accounting/Finance
* Demonstrated finance and payroll experience working in a fast-paced environment
* Excellent time management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
* Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong and cooperative relationships with internal and external stakeholders
* The ability to confidently handle sensitive and confidential information in a professional manner
* Commitment to social justice principles and culturel competence
* Proven experience with ATO and STP compliance and reporting activities
* High level of proficiency in Xero (essential), Employment Hero (essential) and Weel (ideally)
