The Opportunity
We are seeking an Assistant in Nursing to join our Medical Oncology Ward at Lake Macquarie Private Hospital. As part of a nurturing team, you will contribute to delivering dedicated and specialised care to our patients. This role is well suited to an AIN or a second-year Nursing Undergraduate with an interest in Oncology medical patients. Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager, you will perform duties with the support and guidance of the Department Manager, Clinical Nurse, Team, and Shift Leaders to ensure high-quality patient care aligned with the hospital's care values and strategic goals.

To succeed, you will be a positive, effective team player with excellent clinical and interpersonal skills, thriving in a fast-paced environment and dedicated to patient-focused care. You will also demonstrate:
Certificate III in Health Services Assistance or be currently enrolled as a second or third-year Registered Nursing student.
Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Self-motivated and able to work effectively according to directions.
High level of interpersonal and communication skills.
High level of customer service and excellent time management skills.
Understanding of infection control principles.

Requirements
