They are known for their stability, low staff turnover, and supportive workshop culture About the role Just Automotive Recruitment is searching for a Power Steering Specialist (Commercial Vehicle) to join a stable, bench-based reconditioning workshop environment. This role focuses on rebuilding hydraulic components across a wide range of truck systems, from prime movers to rigids. Work is currently bench-based, with future opportunities to expand into removal and refit (R&R) work. It’s ideal for someone who enjoys structured, repetitive technical tasks in a relaxed, non-corporate setting. Duties Reconditioning hydraulic components across truck systems Hydraulic pumps, steering boxes, and associated truck hydraulic assemblies Primarily bench-based rebuild work (current stage) Future progression into removal and refit (R&R) work on full vehicles Job mix includes pumps (approx. 3–4 hours each) and steering boxes (longer turnaround) Around 2 jobs per day once proficient Workshop equipped with lifting equipment for heavier components Skills and experience Licensed mechanic preferred (Truck or Light Vehicle) Flexible background with preference for candidates later in their career or seeking long-term stability Not focused on heavy diagnostics or major overhaul work Comfortable with repetitive, process-driven bench work Mature mindset with a reliable, long-term commitment approach Less suited to candidates seeking highly varied or diagnostic-heavy roles Benefits $85,000 – $95,000 super 18% leave loading Monday to Friday schedule – no weekend work Minimal overtime with consistent hours (8:30am – 4:30pm) Structured yet relaxed workshop environment with strong job stability How to Apply If you are interested in joining a successful business for this fantastic full-time position, please send us your resume today.
