Due to continued growth within our South Australian manufacturing division in Murray Bridge, Moore Engineering is seeking an experienced and proactive Workshop Manager. This role is critical in ensuring our production operations run efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards as we design, manufacture, and repair specialised vehicle bodies for Ambulances, Rescue Vehicles, and Fire Trucks.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and manage production schedules to meet operational requirements
* Oversee daily production activities, ensuring output is delivered on time, to specification, and within budget
* Identify and coordinate required material resources
* Lead, allocate and support workshop personnel to meet production targets
* Manage equipment requirements including maintenance, upgrades, and procurement
* Create, implement, and monitor Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
* Champion a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with WHS procedures
* Develop, maintain, and monitor product quality standards and quality control systems
* Analyse production performance and quality data to identify and resolve issues
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives across production processes
* Prepare and maintain accurate production reporting
* Manage and oversee production budgets
About You
* Strong, proven leadership with the ability to drive performance and business outcomes
* Demonstrated experience in a Workshop Manager or similar supervisory role
* A track record of delivering improvements in efficiency, quality, and workflow
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines and achieve set targets
* Solid understanding of manufacturing methods, production processes, and industry standards
* A commitment to delivering exceptional service and ensuring procedural compliance
Highly Desirable
* Trade qualifications in related fields such as Mechanical/Vehicle Body Building.
* Formal qualifications in Commerce / Business Management
