About the Role
In this leadership role, you'll provide direction, guidance and expertise across a range of finance and budget management functions.
You will
* Lead and mentor a team to achieve branch and agency objectives.
* Oversee day-to-day operations relating to budget planning, monitoring, and reporting.
* Provide expert advice and guidance on complex financial management issues.
* Ensure compliance with the PGPA Act and the Commonwealth Resource Management Framework.
* Manage stakeholder relationships and represent the branch at internal forums.
* Identify and implement improvement initiatives to enhance financial practices.
* Support the preparation of budget materials and reporting to senior leadership.

* Proven experience in finance, budget management, or related disciplines.
* Strong leadership and team management skills.
* In-depth knowledge of public sector financial frameworks and the PGPA Act.
