This role is well suited to a developing insurance professional who enjoys working closely with and supporting a senior broker and their clients and building technical capability within a supportive broking environment.
The Role
Reporting to a Senior Broker or Broking Manager, this role is focused entirely on client servicing and portfolio management, with no staff management or sales targets attached. You will work closely with a senior broker, assisting in the delivery of reliable, compliant and efficient insurance solutions for a portfolio of about 50 mid-market clients. As the successful applicant you will:
* Manage the servicing and administrative requirements of Commercial clients, delivering day-to-day broking support and advice. Assist with renewals, new business quotations, mid-term adjustments and general enquiries.
* Support clients with policy interpretation, documentation, and insurer negotiations as required.
* Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate servicing of clients.
* Maintain effective relationships with a panel of insurers to support placement and renewal outcomes.
* Ensure all client interactions and policy documentation adhere to compliance, legislative and regulatory requirements.
* Process new business, renewals and policy documentation, including preparation, checking and issuing of policy documents.
* Support internal systems and workflows to ensure consistency and efficiency in service delivery.
* Provide responsive and professional service to clients, including liaising with insurers on endorsements, amendments, premium calculations and correspondence.
Skills and Experience that will lead to success
* Sound technical understanding of Commercial General Insurance products.
* Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality client service.
* Well-developed written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage priorities and work effectively within a team-based environment.
* Eagerness to develop technical knowledge and progress within an insurance broking career path. Tier 1 Broking Compliance in line with the Financial Services Reform Act;
