Your role

In this role, the individual will work closely with clients to identify and manage the various risks associated with technology within their organizations. They will engage in diverse projects aimed at pinpointing gaps in risk management practices, helping clients safeguard their reputations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and enhancing trust with external stakeholders. By collaborating with clients, the individual will contribute to developing strategies that effectively mitigate technology-related risks and leverage opportunities for growth and innovation.

What you will be doing

* Interacting with their clients to understand their business, providing exposure from the onset to senior client stakeholders.
* Engaging with their clients to develop a comprehensive understanding of their Information technology landscape and assess the associated risks and the corresponding mitigating controls. This encompasses an in-depth analysis of their application landscape, the extent of cloud integration, the deployment of artificial intelligence technologies, cybersecurity controls, and the effectiveness of their IT governance frameworks.
* Facilitating end-to-end project management and delivery for client engagements, collaborating on the project scope and budget, executing and documenting the work undertaken, and articulating their findings and conclusions to senior client stakeholders.
* Acquiring proficiency in fundamental IT audit principles, including IT General Controls, IT Application Controls, data migration procedures, and testing of data completeness and accuracy.
* Learning key Technology-related regulations, standards, and frameworks.
* Get involved with industry research and client thought leadership and support business development initiatives to help EY grow its client portfolio.


About you

Key programme facts

* Programme length: Two years
* Professional qualification: ICAEW Certificate in Finance, Accounting, and Business (CFAB) with the option to pursue the ICAEW ACA

Eligibility for applying

* The organization operates an open-access policy, meaning applications are not solely screened based on academic performance. Candidates must be pursuing an honours degree in any subject and must have a minimum grade of 4/C GCSE (or equivalent) in English Language and Maths, or their home language if they do not hold an English Language GCSE. Additionally, applicants must have three A-levels or five Highers (or equivalent) to be eligible to apply.

Eligibility for visa sponsorship

* Visa sponsorship for the August 2025 intake programme is available for locations in Bristol, Edinburgh, Glasgow, London, and Manchester, but on a limited basis. EY's ability to offer employment depends on current UK immigration rules. This position meets the necessary sponsorship thresholds, but there is a capped number of Certificate of Sponsorship applications each year. If the limit is reached or if immigration rules cannot be met, EY will not be able to sponsor applicants.

* The estimated salary for this position is between £32,000 and £37,000 per year

Training and development

Participants will receive training on the role of technology in organizations and the associated risks. They will learn to identify gaps in risk management and develop strategies to mitigate these risks through hands-on projects with clients across various sectors. The program will emphasize the use of modern tools and methodologies, enhancing participants' understanding of technology's role in building organizational resilience. Continuous learning will be a key focus, equipping them to adapt to the evolving landscape of technology risk.
