We're looking for an experienced Senior Technical Writer to lead documentation across a series of multidisciplinary, high‑impact projects. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working autonomously, shaping documentation strategy, and producing high‑quality technical content for complex environments.
This is a
contract position until August 2026 and offers 25 hours per week, worked Monday to Friday, with flexibility to spread the hours across either three or five days during standard business hours.
What You'll Be Doing
* Leading documentation strategy and providing technical guidance across multiple workstreams.
* Developing and maintaining documentation standards, templates, and style guides.
* Writing and reviewing procedures, manuals, and technical documentation for critical systems.
* Coordinating documentation activities with diverse stakeholders and project teams.
* Ensuring all documentation is accurate, complete, and fully compliant for asset handover.
* Managing document control processes and maintaining version integrity.
* Facilitating workshops to capture technical, operational, and subject‑matter expertise.
* Overseeing quality assurance for all documentation deliverables.
What We're Looking For
* Substantial experience in technical writing within engineering, industrial, or similarly complex environments.
* Proven experience leading documentation programs and managing stakeholder engagement.
* Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently to tight deadlines.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Experience in mining, heavy industry, or large‑scale infrastructure projects.
* Familiarity with enterprise knowledge‑management and document‑control systems.
