Role Overview
As a Staff Specialist in Orthopaedics, you'll play a key role in delivering world-class care and supporting the continued growth of our Orthopaedics and Trauma service.
You will work alongside a multidisciplinary team dedicated to excellence in patient outcomes, teaching, and research.
Responsibilities
Provide high-quality clinical care in lower limb elective surgery and outpatients, including joint replacement.
Supervise and support Registrars, Senior and Junior Medical Officers, and medical students.
Participate in registrar trauma lists, fracture clinics, and multidisciplinary patient care.
Contribute to teaching, clinical supervision, and continuous professional development.
Qualifications
A MBBS or equivalent, eligible for registration with AHPRA.
Fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS – Orthopaedics) or equivalent.
Proven experience in orthopaedic surgery with a focus on lower limb procedures.
Strong leadership and supervision skills, with a commitment to mentoring junior doctors and students.
