Community Support Specialist
We are seeking dedicated professionals to join our Disaster Response team, facilitating access to essential services for individuals affected by emergencies.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist persons impacted by emergency events and coordinate support efforts
* Support project management and coordination initiatives
* Record interactions and support into databases for effective service delivery
* Establish relationships with individuals, communities, and stakeholders to drive recovery efforts
Requirements:
* Flexibility to work at short notice and adapt to varying contract lengths
* Driver's License (some positions may require driving)
Essential Skills/Experience:
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills for building relationships
* Advanced Computer Skills in MS Office and Excel for data management
* Community Engagement and communication expertise for effective outreach
* Problem-solving and project management capabilities for efficient service delivery
The Community Recovery Officer plays a vital role in supporting people affected by emergencies. Working closely with impacted individuals, community members, local organisations, and government agencies, this position identifies needs, coordinates resources, and implements recovery programs to drive positive change.
